My scan result is different to my skin fold test?

There is no correlation between skin fold thickness measurements, (whether a 14 point or 7 point test completed by a qualified anthropometrist) with a measure of bio impedance which uses impedance and reactance to measure internal tissue.  Skin Fold Thickness tests are well suited to visual sports such as competitive physique athletes, where internal measurements including visceral fat are not taken into account.  The interstitial fat and fluid will be identified via the bio impedance reading whereas skin fold measurements can only pinch skin and fat under the dermis.
